Spread a Smile

This year we will be working with the charity Spread a Smile to raise money for seriously ill children and teenagers at Great Ormond Street, UCH and The Royal London Hospitals.

Spread a Smile is a fantastic charity – they are dedicated to improving the time spent by seriously ill children and teenagers in hospital often for prolonged periods of time, with life limiting conditions including cancer and heart, lung and kidney-related illnesses. The charity’s aim is to divert the children’s attention away from their treatment, stimulate their minds and to alleviate the boredom and monotony associated with sustained hospital stays. They run entertainment activities for seriously unwell children and  teenagers at GOS Hospital, UCH and The Royal London Hospitals, and arrange theatre outings to leading productions for children in London, trips to music concerts, arts workshops and an annual winter party for the families.

In May we gave a special cookery demo and brunch in Hampstead, London. Tickets sold out and it was a great success. You can find out more about the work of Spread a Smile and make a donation here.
